Pas Normal Studios: Road to Nowhere

Pas Normal Studios and a group of 10 cyclists escaped to the Columbia River Gorge ready to embrace free-spirited adventure, camaraderie, and the unexpected.

0*C / 32*F : Mile 80 -  Epic terrain, legs burning, fingers numb, the unsettling thought of another gel! Dusk was approaching fast but spirits were rekindled by the energy of the group and the last bit of light from the trailing sag car. The only way home was forward, we pushed into the night where the day was anything but over.

Element Cycles Ambassador, Patrick Bloom, shares:
“The last 15 miles of the ride, when the sun had set, snow had begun to fall, and most of us were riding without lights. We were pedaling into the void, and questions like, ‘What am I doing here? What’s my name? Have I catapulted into a dream?’ started to surface in my head.  I had a strange sensation of isolation and connection in the same moment. I couldn’t clearly see the rest of our group due to the snow pelting my eyes, but I could still feel the camaraderie.”

When the moment finds you… embrace it.
