Pas Normal Studios: Road OR Gravel
With the help of Pas Normal Studios, we hosted a social pace Road OR Gravel ride. All riders departed from the shop together at 9am and rode along the Sammamish River Trail. After a couple of miles, those equipped with gravel rigs peeled off onto the Thrilla route. Riders with road bikes stayed on the trail, following a road route that circled around the tarmac surrounding Thrilla.
It was a social ride, but we added a little competition to make things interesting. Prizes from PAS were awarded to the fastest male and female up a segment on each route!
Road Segment: Hollywood Hill
Gravel Segment: Horse Pasture Hill
Segment Prizes:
Men won a stowaway jacket and socks
Women won a full kit: bib, jersey, and socks
Both routes had a pit stop at the Watershed Reserve parking lot—a perfect spot to regroup and refuel. We had gels, bars, and espresso from Maki Espresso to keep everyone going.
The rides ended at the shop, where prizes were awarded, free raffles were held, and swag was given to all participants!
We had a great time riding together and can’t wait to do it again!
